WHY 3-1-1?

We all know 911 and 108 for medical emergency services. Similarly 3-1-1 number is used in the mature economies to provide access to non-emergency and non-urgent municipal services.

Ganga 3-1-1 initiative is taken to make the Ganga clean. We all want our next generations to experience the holiness of Ma Ganga, dont we?

Sure, the issue is not the most urgent issue at this point but it is VERY important if we look at the pollution of Ganga from our heritage and citizen health perspective.
